Judith Bohnenkamp coasted to an 8-1 win over Miroslava Mensikova and Natalija Popovic at No. 3 doubles.
Ana Pain and
Emma Onila followed that up with an 8-5 victory over Sasha Nionova and Lorena Rionda at the No. 2 pairs position to give the Bucs a 2-0 lead.
Tied 5-5, the Bucs No. 1 duo of
Sonja Larsen and
Barbora Kijasova pulled away for an 8-6 over Selin Devrimci and Linnea Kymberg. That sent the Buccaneers into singles with a 3-0 cushion.
Alisa Rudenko made quick work of Carolyn Cureton, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles to move the Bucs within a point of clinching. 45th-ranked Larsen defeated Rionda, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 3 to seal the win.
Pain was within a game of winning her match over Devrimci at the No. 4 position. Pain led, 6-2, 5-2. Onila built a 3-0 lead over Nionova in the second set at No. 1 singles after pulling out the first set, 7-5. Kijasova led Popovic, 5-4, at No. 5 singles.
