Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University women's tennis team beat NAIA's No. 1-ranked Auburn Montgomery, 5-1, Sunday at Buccaneer Tennis Center.
The Buccaneers, ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II, improved to 7-0 this season. The Warhawks dropped to 9-2.

Ana Pain and
Zuza Maciejewska each picked up two wins for the Bucs, who have beaten five ranked opponents this season. Pain and Larsen combined for a an 8-2 No. 2 doubles win over Iris Verweij and Alejandra Gil. Maciejewska and
Emma Onila swept Paula Diaz and Anna Rudolfova, 8-0, at No. 1 doubles.
Larsen and Pain also won their respective singles matches in straight sets, while Maciejewska won by retirement, leading in the second set. Eleventh-ranked Larsen defeated No. 20 Kelly Southwood, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 1 singles. Fifth-ranked Pain defeated No. 39 Celine Lenertz, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 4 position. Maciejewska led 11th-ranked Diaz, 6-0, 3-0, at No. 2 singles when the Warhawks player retired.
Twelfth-ranked Onila led Verweij, 7-5, 5-5, at No. 3 singles when the match ended as the Bucs secured the clinching fifth point. The Warhawks led in the other two singles matches that went unfinished.
Auburn Montgomery picked up a point at No. 3 doubles as Lenertz and Southwood beat
Judith Bohnenkamp and
Barbora Kijasova, 8-3.
Barry will host Division II No. 23 Academy of Art, which based out of San Francisco, at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
