MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University men's basketball team will host Florida Tech 7:30 Wednesday in the final of a three-game homestand.
The Buccaneers (17-3, 9-2 Sunshine State Conference) sit in first place in the league standings. Florida Tech (12-11, 4-8) are tied for fifth. The top four teams host a first round SSC Tournament game.
Barry is 11-0 at home. The Panthers are 4-3 on the road.
This game features the top three rebounders in the league in Florida Tech's Corbin Jackson (10.1) and Barry's
Yunio Barrueta (9.8) and
Tray Leonard (9.0). Leonard has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in five straight games. Jackson has had over 10 in three of his past four games.
The Bucs have outscored their last four opponents by 24 points per game. The Panthers snapped a three-game losing skid in their three-point win over Florida Southern Saturday.
