The Buccaneers went down early as starting pitcher Luis Deville allowed a homerun into left field to Jason Tolentino on his first pitch but that would be the only true blemish on Deville's night as he would go on to strike out six in 7.0 IP and allow just one more hit.

In the bottom of the 1^st, the Bucs would answer the Pioneers' home run and take the lead permanently with six runs thanks to a Carlos Matamoros home run (his first of the season), an Alfreddi Ramos two-run homer (his first), a Mike Diaz two-run double, and a Matamoros bunt single.

The Bucs would have another long consecutive scoring innings streak, scoring in five straight today after scoring in six-straight against Catawba.

Deville earned his first win of the year while Tusculum starter Ethan Carpenter earned his first loss.

The Bucs improve to 2-0 on the season while the Pioneers stand at 1-1.
