LAKELAND, Fla.—Barry baseball heads north to Lakeland, FL to take on SSC foe Florida Southern in their last true road series of the season.

The Mocs sit one place above the Buccaneers in the SSC standings with a record 19-20, 7-11, so a series win would put Barry in a position to finish the season above .500.

But to do so, the Bucs will have to face a Mocs team that has a clutch hitter in junior outfielder Jhalan Jackson, who leads his team in batting average with .412, 55 RBI and 14 homeruns.

Also dangerous is senior 3B Chris Dennis, who leads the team in hits with 68 and doubles with 15. Jackson and Dennis share the lead in runs with 43.

On the mound, Florida Southern could turn to junior RHP Ben Richardson, who has team-leading 45 strikeouts in 72.0 IP. Junior LHP Brady Arenson is second on the team with 43 strikeouts in 60.0 IP.

First pitch is tonight at 6 pm, with tomorrow's doubleheader beginning at 1 pm.
