Coming off a weekend which saw them go 1-2 against the #1 ranked team in the nation, Barry baseball starts its week early as they take on Merrimack College March 9
th and 11
th, both games at 6 pm.
The Warriors are 4-0 on the season, playing their last two games on the campus of Barry University in a doubleheader sweep of Wilmington on March 8
th.
Although early in their campaign this year, Merrimack has already seen productivity at the plate.
Junior infielder Frank Crinella leads the team with six hits and senior catcher Dionys Quezada is has a team-leading two homeruns.
Three other players are tied for second in hits with five each, respectfully.
In the rotation, the Warriors will look to senior right-handers Joe Carnevale, who struck out eight in 7.0 IP his last time out and Tim Cashman, who has nine strikeouts in 7.0 IP.
Coming off a series which saw them go toe-to-toe with the nation's top-ranked team, the Buccaneers will be confident they can good results this week against Merrimack.
