MIAMI SHORES, FL—What started off as a close game turned into a smooth victory as Barry baseball defeated Adelphi 12-7.
The Buccaneers relied on 13 hits from eight different batters to earn their sixth win of the season over a Northeast-10 opponent.
While Adelphi tied it up 5-5 in the second, Barry would go on to win comfortably with big time hits from key players.
Big on the night was right fielder
Ryan Baldwin who had two hits, including a two-run homer into right field in the seventh.
Kyle Pangallo also had a notable night as he hit a team-high two doubles.
On the mound, Barry pitchers had a combined 10 strikeouts with winning pitcher
Jonathan Hernandez striking out five to improve his record to 2-2. Nikolas Batas got the loss for the Panthers to put his record at 0-1.
The Bucs improve to 13-10, while Adelphi stands at 1-5.
Up next for Barry is a three-game series against SSC rival Lynn with first pitch slated for March 20
th at 6 pm.
