JESSE AT A GLANCE: A returning pitcher who will be relied on to pitch big innings...Has a live arm with a very good fastball and put away slider...Compliments those two pitches with a change up...A very athletic individual who gets the most out of his frame. 

JUNIOR (2014): Appeared in 12 games, starting five...Had a 2-2 record...Had 32 innings pitched...Struck out 37 batters.

SOPHOMORE (2013): Transferred to Lackawanna junior college and helped guide the Falcons to the NJCAA College World Series in 2013… Appeared in 16 games for the Falcons and made 12 starts, leading the team with 75.1 innings pitched…He finished 2013 with a 5-4 record and 3.11 ERA and fanned a team-high 83 batters…Of his 71 hits allowed all season, only five went for extra-base hits and the right-hander went the distance three times including one shutout.

FRESHMAN (2012): Played under Joe Brown at Suny Cortland College and helped guide the Red Dragons to an NCAA Division III College World Series appearance in 2012.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from H. Frank Carey high in 2011…Lettered two seasons in baseball for the Seahawks under Mark Headguist… Tossed 104 innings and fanned 128 hitters to finish with a 1.68 ERA.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Cathy Montalto…Majoring in criminology.
