WINTER PARK, FL--An early 2-0 lead for Barry baseball was not enough as they fell 10-2 in a SSC clash versus Rollins after a big Tars comeback in the eighth and ninth innings.
A single-run homer by first baseman
Jonathan Quintana, and catcher Greg Brodziniski reaching home on an error gave the Bucs a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning.
This lead held till the bottom of the seventh, when the Tars scored five runs off four hits and an error to make it 5-3.
The downturn continued for the Bucs as Rollins added to their lead in the eighth with five more runs off of four hits and two errors.
While Tars pitcher Matthew Tulley struck out 11 on the night,but it was Matt Hendricks who got the win on the night after shutting out the Bucs in the final two innings.
Joeanthony Rivera got the loss while striking out six in 6.0 IP.
The Bucs will look to get back in the series as they take on Rollins tomorrow in a doubleheader with first pitch at 1 pm. Â
