Big Hits Lead Bucs to Sweep of Merrimack

Several home runs help Bucs sweep Warriors

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, FL--For the second consecutive game, Barry baseball relied on a night of dominant hitting to complete a sweep of Merrimack College.

The Bucs won 11-4, thanks in part to homeruns by Khaili Denson in the first inning for his first of the season, Ross Thibeault in the third inning for his first, and Ryan Balwin in the fourth inning for his second.

Eight Bucs had hits on the night, with Thibeault leading the team with three.

On the mound, Tony Borges struck out four in 7 IP for his first win of the year.

The pitchers for Merrimack combined for eight strikeouts. The Warriors had five hits on the night, including a fourth inning homer by designated hitter Matt Brown.

Up next for the Bucs is their first away series of the season as they return to SSC play with three games versus Rollins College. First pitch is March 13th at 6 pm.
