Bucs Drop Third Game Against Tuskegee

Short burst of offense not enough as Bucs fall in first home loss of the year

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – A day after over-whelming pitching and stout hitting led to a doubleheader sweep, the Bucs struggled in both categories as they fell 11-7 to the Tuskegee Tigers.

The Bucs struggled on the mound as they allowed 12 hits while confounding their problems with five errors.

Starting pitcher Luis Deville struck out five batters in four innings in his first start for Barry, but allowed 10 hits and nine runs before being replaced by Andy Rohloff.

At the plate, six Bucs had hits with freshman Kyle Pangallo leading the team with three and sophomore Ryan Baldwin leading the team in RBI with four. His efforts included a 3-run home run to right field to tie the game in the second inning, his first for the Buccaneers. Pangallo hit his team-leading second home run of the year in the third inning to put the Bucs up 7-3.

This short burst of offense was not enough as Barry was shutout for the rest of the game and allowed Tuskegee to score eight more runs to take the lead and the game.

The Bucs look to get back on track as they visit Palm Beach Atlantic February 8th at 6 pm. They return to Feinbloom Field on February 14th to take on Southern Connecticut
State in a doubleheader starting at 1 pm.
