Box Score 2 MIAMI SHORES, Fla.-- Barry baseball's first home games of the regular season were displays of dominant pitching and hitting as the Buccaneers swept Tuskegee in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
In game one, starting pitcher
Adrian Benitez tied a career-best six strikeouts in seven innings pitched.
At the plate, 10 Bucs combined to have 16 hits as the Bucs cruised to a 14-2 win over the Tigers. Catcher
Greg Brodzinski led the team with three hits in the game.
The second game of the doubleheader mirrored the first as the Bucs once again overwhelmed Tuskegee with a dominant pitching performance by
Joeanthony Rivera, who recorded a career-best 11 strikeouts, and an overpowering display hitting wise as the Bucs had 19 hits in a 13-3 victory over Tuskegee.
The sweep improves the Bucs' record to 2-1 on the season and they look to add to their win total when they face off against the Tigers again February 8th at 12 pm at Feinbloom Field.
