Baseball Takes On Felician in Three-Game Series

Bucs look to get back on winning track against Falcons

MIAMI SHORES, FL—After a narrow midweek loss versus the University of Miami which saw them narrowly lose, Barry baseball looks to rebound as they take on Felician College in a three-game series this weekend with first pitch at 6 pm on February 28th.

The Golden Falcons are 4-4 on the year with this weekend being their first official away series of the season.

At the plate, the Golden Falcons pose a threat in the form of freshman infielder Bruce Strickland, who leads the team in batting average at .435 and senior infielder Branden Shaw, who has a team-high 12 RBI.

At the mound senior LHP Jack Fowler has a team-high 12 strikeouts and junior RHP Dean Loucka is right behind him with 11.

The Bucs hold the lead in the all-time series versus Felician three games to none and this is the first game since a 16-4 Barry win in 2009.

The Barry coaches said on Wednesday after the loss to Miami that the rest of the Bucs' season began now, and this series will be a first sign to show how it will all play out.
