Men's Basketball Meets Southern Nazarene Saturday in Boca Raton

Bucs and Crimson Storm meet for first time

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's only identification of its next opponent will come Friday night. That's when Southern Nazarene will meet Lynn as part of the Boca Raton Holiday Classic. Barry will get its shot against Southern Nazarene 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

It will mark the first meeting between the two teams. Saturday's game can be seen HERE and followed via LIVE STATS.

The Buccaneers (7-2) have had a strong history in Lynn's holiday tournament. The Bucs have won their last seven games in the de Hoernle Center in this tournament, and nine in a row on the same floor in all games there. Last year they beat Nyack and Winston Salem State in the holiday tournament.

Barry has been involved in two games decided by two points or less over the past two Saturdays. This marks the third straight Saturday game for the Bucs in December.

Southern Nazarene (3-5) has not played since Dec. 5. CJ Rodriguez is averaging 18 points per game. LB Willis is averaging 15.6 points, and Garrett Butler and Francisco Hukill are both averaging in double figures.

Barry will host No. 16 Rollins at 4 p.m. Jan. 2 in the Health & Sports Center.
