MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University baseball team (14-7, 3-0) completed a three-game sweep of Florida Tech (15-8, 2-4) with a pair of wins on Saturday afternoon. The Bucs rocked the Panthers 11-1 in the first game and slipped by 3-2 in the second game.
The Bucs added three runs in the sixth off of two hits and a number of Tech errors. Arrizurieta, Green and
James Young scored to give the Bucs the 11-1 win.
In the second game, Barry scored a run apiece in the second and fourth after Tech scored twice in the second.
Chris Leon crossed on a Holness single in the second, English scored the tying run in the fourth off an
Evan Ashley double, and Petty scored the go-ahead in the sixth off an Ashley bunt.
Corey Witkowski earned the win in the first game. He moves to 5-1 on the year. Josh Ziemba took the first-game loss, moving to 4-1 for the season.
Brett Hammaker earned his third win of the year in the second game while
Tyler King earned a save, his fifth of the season. Randall Thompson took the loss for Florida Tech.
The Bucs return to action on Tuesday against Adelphi at 6:00 pm.
