LAKELAND, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell 61-44 to the Florida Southern Mocs in Sunshine State Conference men’s basketball action in Jenkins Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The Bucs (7-13, 4-7 SSC) cut the lead to eight points, 40-32 on a three-pointer by Derrick Bolanos with 12:49 remaining. But the Mocs (16-6, 7-3 SSC) pushed the lead back to double-figures on the next possession and Barry never got it back under 10.
Terry Jenkins led the Mocs with 20 points, while Rion Rayfield added 10. Evan White led the Bucs with nine points and Willie Whitfield had eight points and eight rebounds.
The Bucs come home to face the Rollins Tars on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in the Health & Sports Center.
