ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Barry University women's tennis team defeated the Eckerd College Tritons 5-0 on Sunday afternoon. 

 

The match consisted of two doubles and fours singles since Eckerd only had five players available for competition. At number one doubles, Ildiko Csordas and Berit Peterson defeated Stephanie Bowen and Danielle Loizzo, 8-0 and Svetlana Koyanshkina and Helen Wisniewski topped Katie Plemmons and Brittany McNamara 8-0 at number two.

 

In singles, Barry's Saskia Kruse shut out Lauren Bagnall, 6-0, 6-0 in the singles fifth position to end the match .

 

The Bucs await word on an NCAA Tournament bid, which will be announced on Sunday, April 29.
