MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The #16^th-ranked Barry University women's tennis team (6-4, 4-3 SSC) fell short 6-3 against the #18^th-ranked Rollins Tars on Sunday afternoon at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.

 

Rollins (14-1, 3-1 SSC) took the number one and number three doubles contests, falling only at the number two spot as Helen Wisniewski and Svetlana Konyashkiva defeated Sonia Bernal and Allison Arof 8-4.

 

Singles play saw the Tars taking the top four matches before the Bucs' Laime Contreras and Muriel Sherwood overcame Rollins' Silvia Frandji 6-1, 6-4 and Mai-Han Nguyen 6-4, 6-1 respectively.

 

The Buccaneers travel to Pensacola, Fla. for the White Sands Invitational hosted by West Florida on Friday, Mar. 30 through Monday, Apr. 2.
