Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. – The #2-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State women's tennis team blanked #12-ranked Barry, 9-0, in a non-conference match on Sunday morning at the AASU Tennis Complex.

The Lady Pirates (19-0) won all three doubles matches and then swept all six singles matches for the victory. Zsofi Golopencza and Laura Peaty teamed to defeat Natascha Loebnitz and Greta Trotman, 8-4, at number one doubles, while Luisa Cowper and Dziyana Nazaruk defeated Arabella Martin and Carole Steinhauser, 8-2, at number two doubles. Manuela Emmrich and Caroline Grage blanked Maria Lopez and Marie Rojas, 8-0, at number three doubles.

In singles play, Golopencza defeated Loebnitz, 6-2, 7-5, at number one singles. Cowper defeated Trotman, 6-3, 6-2, at number two singles, while Lopez was forced to retire in her number three singles match against Caroline Grage due to an injury. Emmrich, Peaty and Alejandra Aguilar also picked up singles wins for AASU.

The Bucs, seeded third, will travel to Altamonte Springs, Fla., for the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, Apr. 16-18.
