Box Score DAVIE, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers pummeled the Nova Southeastern Knights 13-1 at the NSU Baseball Complex on Wednesday night.
Chris Casale (2-4) tossed a complete-game seven-hitter, walking one and striking out a career-high nine batters to earn the victory for the Bucs.
Ricky Sanchez and Nick Corbiel each rapped out four hits, as the Buccaneers tallied a season-high 20 safeties.
Keith Barton and
Fausto Faraldo each added three hits and three RBI, while
Alex Meneses scored four runs.
Chris Reynolds (4-1) suffered his first loss of the season, allowing four runs, all earned, on seven hits and two walks, striking out two.
The Bucs capped the game with five earned runs off Knight's All-American Kyle Ruwe in the ninth inning. Barry recorded six straight hits to start the inning.
The Bucs travel to Ft. Myers, Fla., over the weekend to take on the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles in a non-conference series.
