Box Score MIAMI SHORES – The Barry University women's tennis team won their third straight match earlier this afternoon knocking off SSC foe Florida Southern 7-2.

The twelfth-ranked Bucs (12-4, 5-1 SSC) set the tone early on taking two of the three doubles matches including an 8-2 win by Natascha Loebnitz and Maria Lopez over Florida Southern's (9-1, 1-1 SSC) Laura Salatino and Lidia Gandarias at number one. Buccaneers Greta Trotman and Carole Steinhauser then picked up the Bucs second point of the day at number two doubles with an 8-4 victory over Lara Alconbendas and Linda Mrkic.

The Bucs then dominated the Mocs in singles action winning five of the six matches. Loebnitz was the Bucs winner at number one knocking off Mrkic 6-3, 6-2, while Greta Trotman was busy taking care of Gandarias 1-6, 6-0, 6-0 at the number two spot. Lopez, Steinhauser and Arabella Martin picked up the Bucs final points to secure the win.

The women return to action next Wednesday when they visit Lynn at 2:00 pm in a SSC showdown.
