Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell 4-0 to the Nova Southeastern Knights at Feinbloom Field in baseball action Friday night.
The Knights capitalized on a pair of Buccaneer errors in the fourth inning to score four runs and give starter Kyle Ruwe (6-2) all the support he needed. Steve Smith's two-run double was the big blow.
Ruwe held the Bucs to four hits, though he allowed a season-high five walks, to post his second shutout of the season. He struck out four.
Alex Gonzalez (4-3) lost for the third straight start, but went the distance allowing four runs (two earned) on 11 hits and one walk with nine strikeouts.
Brian Lima connected for two of the Bucs four hits.
The teams conclude the series with a doubleheader tomorrow at noon.
