Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers got back in the win column with a 7-3 win over the Mars Hill Lions Tuesday night at Feinbloom Field.
The Lions (9-17) got on board first with a solo home run by Matt Reed, his ninth, in the first.
But the Bucs (17-8) scored one in the second to tie on a
Jerry Thornton RBI double and
Brian Lima belted a solo shot of his own in the third to put the Bucs up 2-1.
Matt Reynolds made it 4-1 with a two-run dboule in the fourth and
Carlos de la Osa tacked on two more with a homer, his fourth, in the fifth inning.
Meanwhile,
Robert Penna (2-0) was enjoying his second straight strong start, going seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks. He struck out four.
Greg Dicso tossed the final two innings, allowing a unearned run on one hit and two walks, while striking out five.
Sean Murphy (0-2) took the loss for the Lions, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
