Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University women's tennis (5-0) team kept a perfect slate by grounding the Northwood Seahawks (1-2) earlier this afternoon 6-3 at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.

Still filling in at the top flight for the injured Cornelia Grunes, Barry's Natascha Loebnitz defeated Northwood's Mel Roy 6-0, 6-1 at number one singles. The Bucs won the next four flights, but a default at number six singles prevented the Bucs sweeping the singles matches.

Loebnitz and 27th-ranked Maria Lopez teamed up at number one doubles to win 8-2 over Northwood's Roy and Annie Deschamps. The Seahawks went on to win the number two and three doubles matches. Jana Topinkova and Anna Kazakevich defeated Barry's Greta Trotman and Arabella Martin 8-5, while the Bucs defaulted at number three.

The Buccaneers will resume Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday, Feb. 21 hosting Eckerd at 10 am.
