Box Score ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.—The Barry women breezed through their quarterfinal match over the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats 5-0 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla. On Friday.
After dropping all three doubles on Thursday, the Bucs swept all three doubles on Friday. The Bucs took the top two flights by identical scores of 8-5, while Greta Trotman and
Valeria Papandrea shutout Raven Herner and Nicole Berger 8-0.
With number one singles player Conny Grunes out, Papandrea made short work of Herner 6-0, 6-3 at number five and Carole Steinhauser was equally effective stepping in a number six, winning 6-0, 6-0 over Jan Pendrak.
The Bucs advance to the semifinals for the third year in a row, facing the Bobcats of Georgia College and State University on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
