Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PENSACOLA, Fla.—The Buccaneers dropped both matches on the final day of the UWF White Sands Invitational Sunday at the Roger Scott Tennis Center. The women lost 5-4 to #5 Ouachita Baptist, while the men fell 6-3 to the #1-ranked Drury Panthers.

The women fell behind 2-1 after doubles. The Tigers' top-ranked doubles team of Victoria Domina and Brenda Magnetti slipped by Barry's Conny Grunes and Gizella Turbok 8-4 at number one, but the Bucs' Greta Trotman and Valeria Papandrea salvaged a point winning 8-4 at number three.

Barry bounced back in the singles. Grunes and Turbok quickly dispatched their opponents at number two and three and Trotman grabbed a 6-1, 6-4 win at number four.

But without Maria Lopez in the lineup, the Tigers captured the bottom two flights and Domina knocked off Victoria Courmes at number one to give the match to the Ouachita.

In the men's match, the Bucs dug themselves the same hole as day two, losing at all three doubles flights.

But the Buccaneers' strong singles lineup came back to make it interesting. The Bucs' Gerold Wiring and Thomas Hipp won at three and two respectively. But the Panthers proved too tough at the lower flights, winning at five and six.

Ouachita improves to 17-0 and Drury jumps to 14-2. The Buccaneer women fall to 19-2 and the men to 15-3. Both teams are off until April 14 when they host Vangard University.
