Box Score 2 MIAMI SHORES – The Barry University baseball team dropped a pair of SSC games earlier today to the Tampa Spartans at Feinbloom Field.
In game one, Tampa jumped out to an early lead, scoring four first-inning runs against Buccaneers starter John Sandola. The Spartans then scored 16 runs over then next eight innings against four Barry pitchers to seal the victory. Tampa's Matt Armstrong led the way with 4 hits including three homeruns and seven RBI's. Joey Watts picked up the victory on the mound pitching five complete.
Buccaneer 
Cesar Aranguren was 2 fore 4 with 3 RBI's including his third homerun of the season. 
Fausto Faraldo also had two hits and drove in two.
In the nightcap, The Spartans were leading 12-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh when the Buccaneers offense came to life scoring five runs on four hits, however it was not enough as the Spartans held on for the 12-7 victory.
Ricky Sanchez and Aranguren each had two hits and drove in two runs, while 
Billy Zoffinger added one hit and one RBI.
Spartan Jay Hyland was 4 for 4 with four RBI's and starter Casey McKenzie picked up the win improving his record to 5-1.
The Bucs return to action on April 8th as they play host to Florida Gulf Coast at 6:00 pm.
