Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Barry University (17-29-1) defeated the 15th-ranked Lynn University Knights (30-17) 15-7 in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday afternoon. The Buccaneers scored four runs in the third and seven more in the fourth en route to their third straight win.
Barry got on the board first in the top of the third inning. An RBI single by shortstop

Billy Zoffinger also drove in runs in the inning.
After Lynn scored a run in the bottom of the third, the Buccaneers erupted for seven in the top of the fourth. Center fielder
Jerry Thornton knocked in Sanchez with a double down the right field line. Perez plated two with a single up the middle, while Zoffinger and third baseman
Keith Barton each had RBI singles.
The Knights cut the lead to 11-4 with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Barry added two runs in the seventh and eighth while Lynn scored one in the eighth and two in the ninth. Barry's second baseman
Cesar Aranguren had a solo home run in the eighth and Lynn's shortstop Beau McMillan hit a two-run homer in the ninth.
Barry threw nine different pitchers in the game an inning each.
Robert Penna started the game and retired three straight hitters.
Gabe Cabrera (1-0) was credited with his first win of the season after pitching a perfect sixth inning. Ray Leyva (4-3) started and took the loss for Lynn. Leyva went 3.2 innings and surrendered eight runs on five hits with three walks and a strike out.
Meneses, Zoffinger, Sanchez, and Thornton each had two hits for the Bucs. Sanchez had a pair of doubles and Perez collected three RBI. Center fielder David Gariepy led the Knights going 3-for-4. McMillan and first baseman Billy Zbacnik both had two hits for Lynn.
