Baseball Beaten By Bobcats

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The St. Thomas Bobcats defeated the Barry Buccaneers 9-3 in baseball action at Feinbloom Field Tuesday night.

The Bobcats used nine different pitchers, each working one inning. Omar Del Canal (5-4) picked up the win after working a perfect third inning when St. Thomas scored six runs in the top of the fourth. Reggie Rodriguez capped off the inning with a two-run single.

Greg Dicso (1-3) took the loss in his first college start, working 3.2 innings. He allowed five runs on six hits and a walk, with one strikeout.

Mike Fuentes led the Buccaneers (14-28-1) with two hits and drove in a run. Cesar Aranguren and Ricky Sanchez also had an RBI each. Chris Martinez had three hits for the Bobcats (22-25) and Rodriguez drove in four runs.

Barry hosts Saint Leo this weekend in a Sunshine State Conference series Friday and Saturday.
