Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers dropped a 9-8 decision to the Lynn Knights at the McCusker Sports Complex Saturday afternoon.

The Knights scored in each of the first five innings and held off a strong Buccaneer rally over the last four innings for the win.

Beau McMillan and Francisco Dinzey hit solo homers and Billy Zbacnic added a two-run shot for the Knights. Keith Barton equaled their output, slamming solo homers in the second and ninth and a two-run homer in the seventh for the Bucs.

Ricky Sanchez hit safely in his first four trips to the plate, extending his streak to seven straight hits, before grounding out to shortstop to end the game.

Alex Gonzalez (1-1) tossed a complete game for Barry, allowing 11 hits and nine runs (eight earned). He struck out six and walked three. Ray Leyva (1-1) earned the win for the Knights with five innings work. He allowed nine hits and five runs (two earned), striking out three and walking three. Jeff Spicer picked up the save, working the last two innings. He walked one batter and did not record a strikeout.

The Bucs (1-5) close out the weekend series against Rollins on Sunday at noon. Lynn (4-2) hosts the Tars today in a late game.
