Box Score WINTER PARK – The Barry University men's basketball lost a close game to the Tars of Rollins College 52-48 at the Alfond Sports Center.

The Bucs (15-9, 5-7 SSC) came out strong early on going ahead 9-0 with 13:56 to play in the first half, but Rollins responded with a 10-0 run of their own and eventually extended their lead to 11 going into the half up 27-16.

In the second half, Rollins opened up with a 13-4 run, however, the Bucs rallied, going on a 16-3 bringing themselves to within 5 with just 5:10 to play and eventually cut the Tars lead to 1 at 49-48 with a little over two minutes remaining. But, it was not enough as the Tars held on for the 52-48 victory.

The Bucs were led by Luis Vasquez-Bello who scored 14 points, while Chad Dircks led Rollins with 11 points.

The Bucs return to the Health & Sports Center on Wednesday as they host Florida Tech at 3:30 pm in their final home game of the season. Wednesday also marks Senior Night for five Buccaneers.
