Box Score FT. LAUDERDALE -- The Barry University baseball team fell to the Nova Souteastern Knights 12-7 Wednesday night in Ft. Lauderdale.
The Knights jumped on the Bucs (5-7) pitching early on, scoring 9 runs in the first three innings. The Bucs then rallied managing to cut the lead to 4 at 9-5, but it was not enough as Nova Southeastern held
on for the five-run win.
The Bucs were led by
Cesar Aranguren who went 2-for-5 with three RBI including his first homerun of the season.
Chris Casale also added two hits and one RBI.
Nova Southeastern's (6-6) Freddie Pagan paced the nights with two hits, two runs scored and three RBI, including a homerun early on in the game.
The Bucs are back in action this weekend in St. Petersburg, Fla., against Eckerd College in a non-conference series.
