Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers (11-2, 1-0 SSC) opened up Sunshine State Conference play with a 55-37 win over the Lynn Fighting Knights (7-5, 0-1 SSC) Wednesday night in the Health & Sports Center.

The Bucs& trade-markedrked defense limited the high-flying Knights to their lowest point total in history. But the key to the game was the return of the Buccaneers' shooting touch as they lit up the nets for 56.5 percent in the second half and 47.6 percent for the game.

The Buccaneers buried the Knights down the stretch, holding Lynn to only one shot from the floor in the last 4:09. Lynn connected on two-of-five free throws in the final four minutes.

Barry's Nick Ellingsworth-Perez led all players with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Luis Vazquez-Bello added 11 points. Lindsay Critten had eight points to pace the Knights.

Barry travels to defending conference champs, Tampa on Saturday, January 8, before returning to the HSC on Wednesday, January 15 against Eckerd.
