Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry men's basketball team got revenge for an earlier loss by knocking off the Saint Leo Lions 48-43 in Sunshine State Conference action in the Health & Sports Center Saturday afternoon.

The Lions had beaten the Bucs by the identical score back on January 4.

The Bucs surged to a 22-15 lead at the half, fired by eight points each by Teddy Sindoris and Luis Vazquez-Bello.

But in the second half, Barry (12-4, 2-2 SSC) went cold and Saint Leo (5-10, 1-3 SSC) took advantage by tying the game at 22-22 with 16remainingning on a three-point play by Larry Henderson.

The Lions extended their lead to five points, 35-30 on a three-pointer by Javier Veloso with 8:46 left. But Barry regrouped to close the game with an 18-8 run and claim the win.

Vazquez-Bello and Yorell Calderon each scored 10 points to pace the Bucs, while Henderson had 19 to lead all scorers.

Barry travels to Florida Southern on Wednesday, January 22, before returning home on Saturday, January 25 against Rollins.
