Box Score KANSAS CITY, Mo.--The Barry University women's tennis team finished third at the NCAA Division II National Championships by knocking off the Lynn Fighting Knights for the third time this season.
The match pivoted on two crucial flights. The Knights built a 2-1 lead in doubles, but Barry's number two team of Gizella Turbok and Bojana Miladinovic rallied back to win in a tie breaker 9-8 (7-5).
With the match tied 4-4, Ewa Kleczek was down a set and trailed 4-1 in the second. But the sophomore from Krakow, Poland stormed back to take the second set 6-4 and closed out her match and team's win with a 6-1 victory in the third set.
The Buccaneers (26-4) finish third at the National Championship for the second straight year. They knocked off West Florida 5-4 in last year's consolation.
