Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University baseball team faced five different pitchers, while tallying 18 hits in a 15-9 lancing of the Lynn University Knights on Wednesday.
Fernando Tapia (1-1) earned the win for the Buccaneers throwing for six innings and giving up three runs, one earned, on seven hits and striking out six. Jesse Beesely (0-1) took the loss for the Knights.
Adam Toro, going four-for-four with a double, a triple, and one RBI. Joey Apotheker went four-for-five with two RBI, while Joglys Ramos went two-for-three with a homer and four RBI on the night.
David Gariepy led the Knights with three hits, including a double.
The Buccaneers improved to 2-5 overall, while the Knights fell to 1-4 on the season. The Buccaneers will resume play on Saturday, Feb. 9 hosting Saint Leo at 12:00 noon. It will be the fourth non-conference meeting for the teams this season.
