Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University baseball team hoped to put on a show in their home opener of the 2002 season, but fell to the St. Thomas Bobcats 15-3.
In his second outing of the year, Alex Gonzalez (1-1) took the loss for the Buccaneers. He threw for 4.1 innings giving up six hits, five walks, and seven runs (5 earned).
Michael Curbelo (1-1) earned the win for the Bobcats hurling six innings and giving up only five hits and no runs.
Chris Rodriguez led the Bucs going 3 for 4 at the plate.
The Buccaneers fall to 1-4 overall, while the Bobcats improve to 5-4. The Bucs will resume action on Thursday, Feb. 6 hosting Lynn University at 6:00 p.m.
