Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Luis Boullon's two home runs and seven RBI led the Barry University baseball team to a 20-2 trouncing of the Mercy College Flyers earlier tonight at Fienbloom Field. As a team, the Buccaneers tallied 20 runs on 20 hits.
Fernando Tapia (2-1) earned the win for the Buccaneers hurling 8.0 innings allowing two unearned runs on six hits, while striking out three and allowing no walks. Marc Casey (0-2) took the loss for the Flyers giving up ten runs (nine earned) through 3.1 innings.
Luis Boullon led the Bucs at the plate going 4-for-6 with two homers, a double, a single, and seven RBI. Joey Apotheker went 3-for-3 with two doubles and walked twice, while Joglys Ramos added a homer and three RBI. Alex Lorenzo added two doubles on the night.
Adam Massi and Brett Amore led the Flyers with both going 2-for-4 at the plate, while Amore registered one double, the Flyer's only extra base hit.
The Buccaneers improve to 4-5 overall, while the Flyers fell to 0-4. The Bucs will resume action tomorrow facing off again with Mercy at 1:00 p.m. for the final game of the two-game series.
