Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry men's basketball team grounded the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles 55-36 at the Health & Sports Center on Saturday.

The Eagles led 12-8 at the 8:25 mark of the first half. But the Bucs ran off 12 of the next 13 points to go up 20-13 on a tip-in by Luis Vazquez-Bello at 4:55 and Barry held on to a six-point lead at the half, 25-19.

The Eagles (1-3) trimmed the lead to two points at 37-35 with 6:12 left to play in the second half on a breakaway dunk by Roman Brown. But the Buccaneers (4-0) again responded, this time with an 18-1 run to end the game. The Eagle missed their last eight shots from the field and hit only one of four from the line after Brown's dunk.

Vazquez-Bello led the Bucs with 19 points, while Ronald Lewis added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Nick Ellingsworth-Perez helped the Bucs hold a 54-41 edge on the boards with a game-high 13 rebounds. Robinson Tisme led the offensively-challenged Eagles with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bucs host Florida Memorial on Saturday, December 7 at 7:00 pm.
