Box Score MIAMI, Fla.-The Barry Buccaneers overcame a sluggish first half to demolish the Florida Memorial Lions 94-68 at Miami-Dade Community College Wednesday night.

The Buccaneers led 38-34 at the half, despite turning the ball over 14 times.

In the second half, the teams traded baskets for the first nine minutes. With the Buccaneers leading 56-52 at the 11:21 mark, they put together a 15-3 run over the next six minutes. Travon Broadway led the way with nine points.

The Lions (3-6) never regained their composure and Barry gradually extended the lead to the final
margin.

Travon Broadway led five Bucs in double figures with a game-high 21 points. Curtis Tonge came off the bench with 19. Mark Thomas scored 13 points, hitting six of six from the floor. Jason Junker added 11 and Robens Chery 10. Tremayne Fisher led the Lions with 18 points.

Barry (11-1) now heads into Sunshine State Conference play against Lynn on Saturday at the Health & Sport Center. The 11-1 mark is the Buccaneers' best-ever record heading into conference action.
