Men's Basketball Pounce On Lions

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry men's basketball team pounced on the Florida Memorial Lions 68-64 at the Health & Sport Center Wednesday night.

Curtis Tonge scored a game-high 20 points to pace the Buccaneers to victory and Linclon Glasford added 17. Ronlad Lewis came off the bench with 11. Cornelius Gordon led the Lions with 13 points.

The Bucs led 33-25 at the half, but the Lions quickly knifed into the lead. Barry rebuilt a 66-61 lead with :43 seconds left and held on when Yorell Calderon hit a pair of free throws with :05 second left.

The Buc improved to 4-3, while the Lions fall to 2-7. The Buccaneers play in the Missouri Western Holiday Classic Dec. 15-16 in Palm Beach, Fla., before taking off for Christmas.
