JORDAN AT A GLANCE: Jordan returns for his senior season after finishing the year very strong. He will most likely contribute as an impact starter but can also close the door out of the back end of the bullpen. Jordan will be vital as he can bounce back very quickly. He has a vast array of pitches to choose from, throwing anyone of the five for strikes.
JUNIOR (2011): Made18 apperances including 7 starts while compiling a 5-2 record...Finished the year with a 3.39 ERA in 61 innings pitched...Struck out 54 batters while only permitting 13 walks...On March 22 threw a 7 innings in which he scattered 7 hits while striking out 7 and only allowing one earned run in an 8-6 win over Palm Beach Atlantic...On May 21, in the South Regional Tournament elimination bracket, allowed just 2 runs over 9 innings while strking out 9 and without permitting a walk in a 5-2 victory over conference rival Tampa.
PREVIOUS COLLEGE (Brevard CC): Played two seasons for coach Ernie Rosseau … Went 6-4 as a sophomore with a 2.53 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 57 innings of work as the Titans' ace.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four season under coach Rob Stanifer … Posted a 2.74 ERA as a senior with 70 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched … Went 9-2 for the year and added two saves … Hit .500 (2-4) on the other side of the plate … Also competed in tennis and bowling for the Packers.
PERSONAL: Son of Scott Wellander and Tammy Ellains … Has two older sisters, and two younger brothers … Majoring in criminology.
