ANDY AT A GLANCE: A transfer from Florida Memorial, Ruiz has been the Bucs most pleasant surprise this fall. Ruiz did an exceptional job this fall playing the middle infield and will look to continue his highlight filled defensive fall this spring.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Barbara Goleman Senior High School...Lettered all four years in Baseball under Manny Yanez...Finished his senior year with a .564 batting average including four homeruns, 20 rbi and 11 doubles in just 12 games due to injury...Earned First Team All-County and Team MVP his senior year...Voted to the FACA All-Star game in Sebring, Fla.
PERSONAL: Son of Ihosvany Ruiz and Lisset Barreda...Has two brothers Ruddy, 22 and Danny, 16...Majoring in Sport Management.
