MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – New head coach Juan Yumar has released the 2026-27 Barry University men's golf schedule.
"Barry Men's Golf has built a tradition of excellence through its culture, work ethic, and commitment to competing at the highest level." Yumar said " My goal is to honor that tradition while helping our student-athletes continue to grow as golfers, students, and people."
FULL SCHEDULE
The Bucs open up the year at the National Preview, hosted by Nova Southeastern, on Monday, Sept. 28 at the PGA National Championship Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. This is the first time the Bucs have played in the National Preview since their fifth place finish in 2021.
The Bucs head west to participate in the Copperhead Championship, hosted by the University of West Florida, on Monday, Oct. 12 at the Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla. The Bucs have participated in the Copperhead Championship since 2021 with the Bucs finishing tied for sixth out of 17 teams last season.
For the fourth year in a row the Bucs will be returning for the Citrus Invitational, hosted by Champions Gate, on Monday, Oct 19 at Champions Gate Golf Course in Orlando, Fla. The Bucs are looking to take first place this year after finishing in second last year.
For the second time since 2019 the Bucs will participate in the GolfWeek Invitational, Hosted by GolfWeek Magazine, on Monday, Oct. 26 at Ocean Point Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C. This will mark the end of the fall season for the Bucs.
The Bucs will kick off their spring season at the Matlock Classic, hosted by Florida Southern College, on Monday, Feb. 8 at Lone Palm Country Club in Lakeland, Fla.
The Bucs then head to the Saint Leo Invitational, hosted by Saint Leo University, on Monday, Feb. 15 at the Lake Jovita Golf Course in Lake Jovita Fla.
For the first time the Bucs will participate in the Lynn Invitational, hosted by Lynn University, on Monday, Mar. 1 at the Osprey Point Golf Course in Boca Raton, Fla.
For the 17th consecutive year since the 2007-08 season the Bucs will head to the Southeastern Collegiate, hosted by Valdosta State University, on Monday. Mar. 15 at the Kinderlou Forrest Golf Course in Valdosta, Ga.
The Bucs will also make another consecutive appearance since the 2007-08 season at the Shark Invitational, hosted by Nova Southeastern University , on Monday, Mar. 22 at the Grand Oaks Golf Course in Davie, Fla. The Bucs tied for third out of 15 teams last season.
The Bucs host the Battle of the Lakes (formerly known as The Battle At The Shores) on Monday, Apr. 5 at the Miami Lakes Golf Club. The Bucs have hosted the Battle of the lakes since the 2009 season and have won 11 times since the introduction of the tournament.
The Bucs then head to the Sunshine State Conference Championship tournament on Saturday Apr. 17 with the qualifying teams advancing to the NCAA Super Regional on Thursday, May 6. The teams who qualify at the Super Regional will advance to the NCAA Championship in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. On Monday, May. 17.
