MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Head coach Justin Furr announced the signing of 6-5 combination guard Vladimir Sudar to the 2026-27 men's basketball class on Tuesday.

"Vlad is the definition of a combo guard and is someone that we believe can make an impact for us both as a scorer and playmaker," head coach Justin Furr said. "He has significant FIBA experience with Montenegro, which we value. He has great size for a guard that will allow us to use him inside and out. His ability to switch defensively will permit us to continue to be aggressive on that side of the ball. Vlad brings leadership capability which we will benefit us on and off the floor. Looking forward to seeing him in Miami Shores!"

A 6-5 guard, Vlad spent the past season with NCAA Division I Pepperdine University getting limited minutes. Sudar played 77 minutes over the course of 18 games and averaged 7.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per 36 minutes.

Vlad also spent six seasons playing SC Derby Podgorica in Montenegro and seven seasons for the Montenegrin National Team. Helped Montenegro win U18 Division B Euros in 2023 and U20 Division A Euros in 2024. Sudar averaged 9.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists during FIBA U20 play.

"I chose Barry because my vision as a person and player align with what Coach Furr believes in," Sudar said. "We talked about improving myself in all areas, and we were in agreement on where I'm at and where I can get to. I want to win championships, and I know Barry is a place that can be done. I'm looking forward to doing whatever it takes to help the team win and leading on and off the floor."

The Buccaneers are coming off a 17-13 record and a Sunshine State Conference Semifinals appearance.
