Six Bucs Earn CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team Recognition

Women's golf, beach volleyball, and rowing split the six honors

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. --The Barry Buccaneers placed six female student-athletes on the At-Large Academic All-District team for the 2025-26 season. Women's golf led the way with three honorees, beach volleyball behind with two, and rowing with the lone representative.

The at-large group is made up of varsity sports that do not have their own designated category.

Tereza Zavrelova*, Leonie Sinnhuber*, and Candela Clemente were the representatives for women's golf. Danielle Hansen and Isabella Rangel become the first ever beach volleyball players to be named to the team. While Isabella Goitiz joined the team representing rowing.

Zavrelova* continues to rack up the honors in her junior season. Academically, she holds a 4.00 grade point average (GPA) while majoring in international studies. Zavrelova had a career year for the Bucs finishing as a WGCA First-Team All-American and ranked 8th in the country by Scoreboard Clippd. The junior was also named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year.

Sinnhuber* is not too far behind in accolades, as the duo continues to rack them up for the Buccaneers' golf program. The junior holds a 3.66 GPA while majoring in marketing. Sinnhuber also had a record year being named a WGCA First Team All-American and finished in the top-10 at the NCAA National Championship to be named to the All-Tournament team. The Austria-native finished the season ranked 11th in the nation.

Clemente, the lone senior on the team, graduated this spring with an undergraduate degree in finance and a GPA of 3.91. The Argentinian had a 77.1 scoring average and played in all 34 rounds for the Buccaneers this season. She helped the team as they made a postseason run that had them finish with a ranking of 12 and at the NCAA National Championship. Clemente was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll twice.

Hansen, a sophomore from Wonder Lake, Illinois, is a dual major in International Business and Spanish while currently holding a 3.81 GPA. This season the team set some program records, the main one being wins in a single season. They also picked up their first sweep of an opponent and Hansen also doubled her wins in 2026 and tied the single season record.

Rangel, a junior from Caracas, Venezuela, majors in Advertising and Public Relations and yields a 3.93 grade point average. Rangel was also a prominent member in the record setting year for the Bucs beach volleyball program. The team picked up their first sweep of an opponent and set a single season record for wins. Rangel also tied the single season record for wins.

Goitiz is majoring Exercise Physiology with a 3.93 grade point average. The junior has now picked up her third career academic honor after being named a two-time Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competitions and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-District® teams require players to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA as both a undergraduate and graduate student, as well as meet minimum standards for competition. Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes. 

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.

Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists, denoted with an asterisk*, advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9, 2026.

The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
