MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Four Buccaneers were recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom, being selected to the Men's Swimming Academic All-District team this season. Robin Tatar earned his second straight award, while Kaemon Fagley, Griffin Garnot and Balazs Meszaros picked up their first commendation.
Tatar, a senior from Tallin, Estonia, carries a 3.607 GPA in finance. He swam in 10 of the Bucs' 13 meets this year, finishing in the top four in three events at the Indian River Invitational in the 200 yard and the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard freestyle.
Fagley, a junior from Venice, Fla., has compiled a 4.0 GPA in finance. He swam in all 13 events this season, including setting a personal best in the 50 yard freestyle at the Andy Robins Last Chance Invitational in Lakeland to end the season.
Garnot, a sophomore from Naples, N.Y., carries a 3.521 GPA in nursing. He swam in 11 of the 13 meets this year. He set a personal best at the Sunshine State Conference Championships in the 50 yard freestyle.
Meszaros, a junior from Targu Mures, Romania, has compiled a 3.80 GPA in sport management. He also swam in all 13 events for the team. He posted second-place finishes at the winter meet with Simon Fraser in the 100 yard breaststroke and 200 yard individual medley.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Swmimming teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams require players to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA as both a undergraduate and graduate student, as well as compete in 75 percent of competitions OR finish top-eight at a conference meet OR participate in a national championship.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
