MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The Sunshine State Conference announced the All-SSC Swim Teams for the 2025-26 season on Thursday afternoon. Voting for the team was conducted among the Sunshine State Conference men's and women's swimming coaches. Barry had one swimming selected to the third team. 

The only individual from Barry selected is freshman Teo Puig. 

Puig delivered a great performance at the SSC Championships, securing a second-place finish in the 1650 free (15:28.10) while qualifying for the Division II NCAA Championships and setting a new school record, besting his own previous mark by seven seconds. Despite only competing in the spring semester for the Bucs Puig set three number one records in school history, the first being in the men's 500 free (4:28.86), then in the men's 1000 free (9:13.71), and finally in the 1650 free (15:28.10) all in the SSC Championship meet. The freshman currently holds the one and two spot in the 1650 free with the second best time being (15:35.17).

The Buccaneers are in year three of the men's and women's swimming programs and have made a monumental leaps over the past three seasons.

Puig has received the honor to swim in the Division II NCAA National Championships which runs from Mar. 10-14 in Evansville, Ind.
