DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - History was made for the Barry University men's and women's track & field teams on Saturday afternoon from the ERAU Track and Field Complex at the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Outdoor Track Championship. Jahkya Miller was named the SSC Freshman of the Meet, Jaylon Sargeant became the first individual to stand on the podium with a second place finish in the 800m. Katie-Marie Sherlock then became the first female with a podium finish with a silver medal in the 400m race. The women's 4x400m relay then became the first champions in program history to end the meet.
