MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Another historic night in the books from the Health and Sports Center as the Barry Men's Volleyball team celebrated the program's first senior, setter Tristan Blake. The Buccaneer got the senior day win in four sets against NAIA foe, Webber International.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One – The Buccaneers started off 5-0 taking advantage of three straight Warrior errors before Philip Tein earned the first point via a kill. Tein followed with a block along with Elias Fuhrer. It was all Barry in the first set as they cruised to a set one victory. It was the most efficient offensive set for the Buccaneers who hit .400 with 12 kills and just two attacking errors. Jacob Strnisa had six kills in the first set and hit .714 to lead the way. | Barry 25, WIU 15
- Set Two – Another errors from Webber International got the second set started, then Tristan Blake recorded a service ace to keep the momentum going. Blake had two more service aces in the set. Barry held the lead threw the whole set, although the Warriors did attempt a slight comeback, they were able to make it a two-point game after being down by as much as eight. A block from Fuhrer and Diego Alvarez put the set away and gave the Bucs a 2-0 advantage. It was a more evenly distributed offense with six different Bucs collecting a kill. | Barry 25, WIU 22
- Set Three – Barry had another early lead as they were looking for another sweep. The set started on a 5-0 tilt to the home side on the board. After being up 16-11, WIU made was able to successfully make a comeback this time going on an 8-1 run to take their first lead at 19-17. The Bucs were unable to get back in front and fell in the set. Barry had more kills at 14-13 but had nearly twice as many errors at 7-4 while picking up four service errors as well. | WIU 25, Barry 21
- Set Four – Webber took the lead first for the first time in the match. Aaron Martinez scored the first point for Barry off a kill. The Buccaneers trailed for the beginning of the set but made it even at 10-all. From there they went on a 6-1 run that flipped the scoreboard and kept it there for the match win. Diego Alvarez had five kills in the set to help lead the Bucs to the close out. | Barry 25, WIU 20
NOTEWORTHY:
- The 12 kills for Tein are a season-high for his first match in 2026 in double-figures.
- Martinez had his fourth double-figure kill night with 11.
- Blake's 45 assists is a season-high, it was two short of his career-high, but a new program record for assists in a four-set match.
- His four service aces are tied for most in a four set match, and tied for second most in a match in program history.
- Both middles, Maddox Gifford and Elias Fuhrer, had four blocks in the match.
- The team's 54-kills ties for second most in a match in program history overall, but most in a four-set match in program history.
